The World to Me………

The World to Me………

Happiness and sadness, caring and trust
Are what love and friendship are made up to be
They fill your heart with beautiful feelings
for that someone special, you see.
---------
It's in those times of happiness
That you both give a hug and smile.
But it's in those times of sadness
That special person will walk a mile.
--------
It's even when you're far apart
That you care for each other so much.
You naturally look after each other,
Although you're not within each other?s touch.
Last, but not least,Love is built on trust.
It?s something that should come naturally,
Although it is a must.
----------
Nothing really matters anymore;
because even in your absence...
you?ll always mean the world to me.

Benefits of Honey

Honey; medicine of the Quraan, for all diseases

This information is provided to supplement the care provided by your physician. It is neither intended nor implied to be a substitute of medical advice; no doubt honey is a miraculous.

Demand of Honey today is higher than the ancient times. All Sacred Scriptures have discussed its merit. Chinese, Greece, and Roman accounts also provide us non counted benefits of Honey. The Ancient Egyptians have used Honey as a preserving substance. When King Edward I of England, who died in 1307, was exhumed in 1774, his hands and face were found to be well pre-served. This condition was attributed to the fact that they had been coated with a thin layer of wax and honey. Indian Sacred Scriptures, compiled around 1500 (B.C.) also contain references of Honey. Hindu believed that eating Honey would enable them to maintain good health. According to the faith of Hindus, Krishna has been depicted as a Bee. In the region of Attica in ancient Greece, there were 20,000 hives to which people traveled great distances to benefit from the Honey, believing that it would improve their health and helped them to recover from illness. Welsh and Celtic folk lore has abundant references on the sweet substance. At one point in their history, the Welsh paid their taxes in form of Honey. Honey, a remarkable thick liquid, has occupied a prominent place in traditional medicines throughout world history. The ancient Egyptians, Assyrians, Chinese, Greeks and Romans employed honey for wounds and diseases of the gut. Honey is frequently mentioned in the works of poets and writers, especially by the oriental and classical writers. Honey represented to them all things that are sweet and pleasing to the taste, to the mind and to the heart. Honey, like the bees, was a symbol of spirituality and also of poetic inspiration; it was looked upon as psychic nourishment—the food of the saints, carried by the bees even to the divine throne. Honey is mentioned widely through "The Bible": A few quotations are as follows:
§ "Then their father Israel said to them: "If it must be, then do this: Put some of the best products of the land in your bags and take them down to the man as a gift - a little balm and a little honey, some spices and myrrh, some pistachio nuts and almonds." (Genesis 43:11)
§ "I Am the Rubb (Lord) of your father, the Rubb of Ibrahim (Abraham), the Rubb of Ishaq and the Rubb of Yaqub (Jacob)." At this, Mosa (Moses) hid his face, because he was afraid to look at Rubb. The Rubb said: "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey - the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites." (Exodus 3:6-8) Milk and honey were dietary staples for the semi-nomadic Israelites of Biblical times, so Palestine would indeed be a promising home, abounding in goats and swarming with bees.
§ Sulaiyman says: "My son! Eat honey for it is good." (Proverbs 24: 13)
For many reasons honey was one of the most popular foods among the people of the "New and the Old Testament". It became a symbol for abundance and divine blessings- therefore tiding was given in the following wordings: "a land of milk and Honey," so it was the promised goal of the Bani Israel. Tradition says that when Kind David made his triumphant entry into Jerusalem with the Ark, the treat he brought with him were Honey cakes. And he distributed to all gatherings of Israel, both men and women, to everyone a ring-shaped cake of bread, a date cake and a raisin cake. (2 Samuel 6:19). In each part of the global village, there are many towns, mountains, lakes and rivers which are associated with the word honey. The conception of honey was associated with everything that was holy, agreeable and beneficial. The origin of these traditions and customs is almost impossible to trace. The use of honey was only rarely omitted during birth-rites. Among Babylonians, Iranians, Egyptians and Hebrews, honey and milk was the first food which touched the lips of a new-born. During Hindu birth ceremonies, after a male infant is born and the umbilical cord is severed, the father touches the lips of the son with honey taken from a golden vessel and applies it with a golden spoon, at the same time giving the child its name. The Quraan and the Hadith literature refer Honey as a healer of disease. Quraan says: "Bees were inspired through inborn advice by the Rubb, instructing: "Make hives in mountains, in trees and in that which they (human) build. Then eat of all the fruits and follow the ways of your Rubb submissive. There comes out from within (their bodies) a drink of various hues (honey), in it is healing (effect) for human. Verily in this is a sign for the people who consider". (Surat No. 16: Ayaat Nos. 68-69). A Hadith says: "Honey is a remedy for every physical illness and the Quraan is a remedy for all mental illness, therefore, I recommend to you both as remedies, the Quraan and honey." One Hadith reported that a person approached Rasulullah (S.A.W.A.), and asked medicine for his brother who was suffering from stomach disorder. Rasulullah (S.A.W.A.) Advised: "Let him drink honey." He approached again and Rasulullah (S.A.W.A.) responded the same. The person returned again, and requested: "I have done that." Rasulullah (S.A.W.A.) then declared in crystal clear term: "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's stomach has told a lie. Let him drink honey." He drank it and was cured. Miraculous properties of honey are discussed in the Quraan and Ahadith some fourteen hundred years ago. Amongst the Muslims of Indian Subcontinent the most respected member of the family puts Ghutti, prepared by honey, into the mouth of the infant as its first food and holds honey over its head to ward off evil spirits. When the Pharaoh of Egypt gave the order that all male Hebrew children should be executed by drowning them in the Nile, Jewish mothers were constrained to give birth to their children in the fields. The mother of Mosa (A.S.) kept the future divine guide concealed for three months, and it would not be surprising if he also was brought up on honey. This might account for his wisdom, eloquence and farsighted powers. Rasulullah (S.A.W.A.) used to take honey early in the morning, and during noon and afternoon, while stomach was empty.
In birth, wedding and funeral ceremonies of most ancient nations and of many of the primitive races to this day, honey has played an important role. Significance of the word Honeymoon is very interesting. According to an ancient custom, the bride and groom eat honey and drink it during the first four weeks of their married life. Jannat is described in Islam as a promised place where faithful would enjoy with canals of milk and honey surrounded by Hurries.

"Al Shaikh al Raees", Abi Ali Sina (Avicenna), has provided many medicinal formulas in his work that included Honey and Bees-Wax among the ingredients. He advised:

§ cheers you up

10 Qualities of a good Manager

10 QUALITIES OF A GOOD MANAGER

1 Choose a field thoughtfully. Make it one you enjoy. It's hard to be productive without enthusiasm. This is true whether you're a manager or employee;

2 Hire carefully and be willing to fire. You need a strong team, because a mediocre team gives mediocre results, no matter how well managed it is. One mistake is holding on to somebody who doesn't measure up. It's easy to keep this person on the job because he's not terrible at what he does. But a good manager will replace him or move him to where he can succeed unambiguously;

3 Create a productive environment. This is a particular challenge because it requires different approaches depending on the context. Sometimes you maximize productivity by giving everybody his or her own office. Sometimes you achieve it by moving everybody into open space. Sometimes you use financial incentives to stimulate productivity. A combination of approaches is usually required. One element that almost always increases productivity is providing an information system that empowers employees.
When I was building Microsoft, I set out to create an environment where software developers could thrive. I wanted a company where engineers liked to work. I wanted to create a culture that encouraged them to work together, share ideas and remain motivated. If I hadn't been a software engineer myself, there's no way I could have achieved my goal;

4 Define success. Make it clear to your employees what constitutes success and how they should measure their achievements. Goal S must be realistic. Project schedules, for example, must be set by the people who do the work. People will accept a "bottoms-up" deadline they helped set, but they'll be cynical about a schedule imposed from the top that doesn't map to reality. Unachievable goals undermine an organization. At my company, in addition to regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions between managers and employees, we use mass gatherings periodically and E-mail routinely to communicate what we expect from employees. If a reviewer or customer chooses another company's product, we analyses the situation. We say to our people, "The next time around we've got to win. What's needed?" The answers to these questions help us define success;

5 To be a good manager, you have to like people and be good at communicating. This is hard to fake. If you don't enjoy interacting with people, it'll be hard to manage them well. You must have a wide range of personal contacts within your organization. You need relationships - not necessarily personal friendships - with a fair number of people, including your own employees. You must encourage these people to tell you what's going on and give you feedback about what people are thinking about the company and your role in it;

6 Develop your people to do their jobs better than you can. Transfer your skills to them. This is an exciting goal, but it can be threatening to a manager who worries that he's training his replacement. If you're concerned, asks your boss: "If I develop somebody who can do my job super well, does the company have some other challenge for me or not?" Many smart managers like to see their employees increase their responsibilities because it frees the managers to tackle new or undone tasks. There's no shortage of jobs for good managers. The world has an infinite amount of work to be done;

7 Build morale. Make it clear there's plenty of goodwill to go around and that it's not just you or some hotshot manager who's going to look good if things go well. Give people a sense of the importance of what they're working on - its importance to the company, its importance to customers;

8 Take on projects yourself. You need to do more than communicate. The last thing people want is a boss who just doles out stuff. From time to time, prove you can be hands-on by taking on one of the less attractive tasks and using it as an example of how your employees should meet challenges;

9 Don't make the same decision twice. Spend the time and thought to make a solid decision the first time so that you don't revisit the issue unnecessarily. If you're too willing to reopen issues, it interferes not only with your execution but also with your motivation to make a decision in the first place. People hate indecisive leadership; however, that doesn't mean you have to decide everything the moment it comes to your attention. Nor that you can't ever reconsider a decision.

10 Let people know whom to please. Maybe it's you, maybe it's your boss, and maybe it's somebody who works for you. You're I n trouble and risking paralysis in your organization when employees start saying to themselves: "Am I supposed to be making this person happy or this other person happy? They seem to have different priorities."
I don't pretend that these are the only 10 approaches a manager should keep in mind. There are lots of others. Just a month ago I encouraged leaders to demand bad news before good news from their employees. But these 10 ideas may help you manage well, and I hope they do.

THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND 2 CUPS OF COFFEE

THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND 2 CUPS OF COFFEE

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough,
remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee...
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up verything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous yes." The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things -- your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions -- things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.
The sand is everything else -- the small stuff."
"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls."
The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first -- the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented?
The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may
seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."
